  1. First time out being able to run a full 12 rod spread. 7:00 PM start north of pier at 100' out to 125' then back in... found many massive bait balls just north of pier in the 90 fow, no takers. One rip on 200 copper/NBK at 85 fow right before sundown. 10 lb. king off free slider DOC downrigger at 55 in 82 fow. Not the less than a foot forecast but a rreat evening with with wife and friends!

  2. Started at 120 fow, shaker before 4th rod was in on stacked DOC at 45'. 145 fow 7 lb. king on 5 color mixed veggies off SWR, ball at 70 down. Turned in as the flies covered the boat, rods, and us. 8 lb. king on 200 copper smurfet. 8lb.king on jagerbomb downrigger at 70'. Lost 2 others after sunset- 300 copper/happy meal and downrigger at 50 with ET.

  3. Started out south of power plant a mile or two, working 14-30 FOW. Ran into one school and picked off 7 Coho in the 24-27' depths. All but one fish came on north troll at 2.7-2.9 gps. 2 largest 4 and 5 lbs. were a double off a 3 and 4 color down the chute. Red/black thinfins 2, DOC spoon 1, firetiger thinfin 1, orange hot n tot 1, j-11 orange Rapala 1, and orange and silver Jp Slammer 1. Another great spring day !

  4. Couldn't find the cooler filling success of past weeks reports. Fished just after first light to around noon. Went south from pier trolling to power plant and then back. Picked up small coho on J9 orange jointed rapala w/in 30 min. reached over rail and plier release. Another coho just before nuke boundary buoys 4 lber. on 3 color DOCrush spoon 125 back flatlined. Turned around and not long one more coho on Brads gold, red and black hand painted ladderback off board. A couple plus more hours washing baits n 10-30 FOW. All fish caught in 15-17 FOW. Talk at ramp were did they go. One boat that fished last night and boxed out, only got 2 or 3 also. Great time for first trip in 2011.

  5. Fished 11 am (late start) to 2:30 on a gorgeous flat lake, north of pier staying in 12' to 50' depths. 2 steelhead landed 1 on 3 color and orange firetiger horde plug flatlined, 1 on small copper singer spoon 20 down, 85' back. 3 lost (3 color plug , DO Crush 15' down, and Goldilocks 1 oz. snap weight 150 behind. board. All fish hooked wee in 14' to 22' of water.

  6. Agreed...run fast ... I'd run free sliders on the riggers, and 2 long lines, or use boards if you have them. Orange something always this time of year on 1/2 the lures. I would be running one line with some type of diving minnow bait (last week that added a few to the cooler with a diving rapala). Just test it and make sure it can track with the 3.5-4.0 speed. Also I would drive a s curve pattern instead of a steady straight line.

  7. 8am start in 180' out to 230' then a northeast troll all the way into 120's. 1 jumping steelhead on ? so quick we never could figure out on which board it was. Once in the 130-120' range we marked lots of bait on the bottom. Ended up taking 2 5-6 lb. steelhead out of 3 hooked in 45 minute span. 1 on 3 color orange/black ladder small silver horde plug, 1 on Goby Rapala , 1 on walleye sized mixed veggie, and one lost on orange double crush. Fish were full of moths, ladybugs, wasps, 1" alewife and 1 had a 1"+ perch also. We never found a real noticeable surface temp change today.
