  1. Fish were not so cooperative today. Saw two muskies and only boated a drum trolling crankbaits. Fewer boats out and fewer aggressive muskies. They have wised up quickly. Saw a couple get caught but not as many as yesterday. 1/2 day tomorrow. Got called a jack-off at the launch but did not deserve it. Somehow managed to avoid providing a knuckle sandwich to the offender.
  2. Fox River Muskies. I was fortunate enough to boat two today, a 38 and a 46. Not giants but they are here...
  3. We fished the Tippecanoe chain for the final day of the Indiana Muskie Classic. The weather was gorgeous, sunny and moderate wind. Erik got two follows from muskies but no takers. This was the only fish we boated for the whole tourney. Too bad LM bass don't count. We would have had to catch all the muskies we saw. The fish had another agenda. Still, a fun, well-run event. We will be back.
  4. Got a little bit of everything today, except a strike. Clouds, sun, wind, cold rain, more sun, more wind. Saw three muskies today on Webster Lake. At least two of which were somewhat interested in our baits. One was about 40", one about 45" and I did not get a good enough look at the third to tell. Tippicanoe Lake tomorrow.
  5. Will be fishing the Indiana Muskie Classic this weekend with my colleague Erik. Its still winter! More cold rain today. We will be on the Barbee Chain today and will report back.
  6. Tough fishing on Lake Erie. Rough water and high winds. Although we were unable to locate the big females, we still managed to catch some and did as well as anyone and better than most. Sometimes you have to take what Mother Nature leaves on the table.
  7. Will be picking up my new boat this afternoon after which, Paul will help me load in all of the tackle I have been storing in his garage for almost a year. Tomorrow morning we head to Spring Valley to break it in and pre-fish for the MWC walleye tournament this weekend. Will post updates.
  8. Come Fish with me on my new and completely decked out Lund 208 Pro-V! My New Rig Come Fish with me on my new and completely decked out Lund 208 Pro-V!
  9. Just landed in Fort Lauderdale. Will be spending a few days with my good friends Denny and Ruth (proprietors of Deer Run Resort in Hayward, WI) and my old buddy Rick in Islamorada. HMay just wet a line or two. Perfect timing to miss the latest snow storm in Chitown.
  10. Finally took the wrap off the new rig and outlined where all the equipment will be mounted. White Sox colors!
  11. I will get my first look at my new rig on Tuesday. It goes indoors tomorrow. I will be consulting with the folks at Waterwerks as to where everything gets mounted. Pictures to follow.
  12. I am looking for a guide service to take my group of 8-10 out on Lake St. Clair or another lake in the Detroit area. Need a turnkey operation with shanties and equipment. Does anyone know of such an outfit? Thanks, JGESox
  13. Hello Gentlemen, Got my captain's certificate in 2008. Been chartering on Lake Michigan (and inland lakes) for three years. I primarily fish Lake Michigan from Waukegan, IL but will fish from Burn's Ditch, Michigan City, or Pastrick's Marina depending on season and conditions. I run a 19.5' blue/white Lund 197 Pro V GL and take 3 person groups. I also guide for walleye, bass, and musky on inland waters. My handle is "Bubba" while on the big lake. Glad to be here. Captain Guy Lopez
