  12. Pier anglers got a mix of walleye, pike, brown trout, steelhead, and channel catfish when fishing minnows near the bottom. Boat anglers trolling out near Buoy #2 managed to catch a few walleye and chinook salmon.
  13. Anglers are also catching lake trout on spoons in 50 to 75 feet of water. Pier anglers are targeting walleye in the early morning or evening when drifting a crawler under a bobber. Catfish are also being caught from the pier after sunset. Anglers are starting to see limited chinook salmon activity.
  14. Reported good lake trout fishing with an average of three fish taken per boat. Current land and water temperatures are producing fog so be cautious. Good numbers of lake trout can be found off Seagull Point and Adams Point when fishing shallow waters 10 to 45 feet deep. Try trolling with cowbells and spin-glows in shallow waters, or fishing the bottom 5 feet with cut bait rigs in deeper waters.
  15. Walleye fishing ranged from fair to excellent, with most boats getting fish on crawler harnesses in the shallow waters, or Hot-n-Tot's out deeper. Good spots to fish were just off Linwood and the Kawkawlin River, the Black Hole and the Callahan Reef. Good numbers of channel cats were taken in the Hot Ponds. Very good walleye action was reported straight out from the Quanicassee River and straight west of the mouth of the Sebewaing River and south to Fish Point. Near Caseville, walleye were caught in waters 17 to 19 feet deep from the Slot off Sand Point. The carp are in the shallows and those bow fishing are reminded: If you shoot it, take it home and bury it!

Salmon fishing is slow with a few being taken straight out and north of the harbor 40 to 60 feet down in 90 to 120 feet of water using Dodgers with Squid, Spin Doctors, Action Fly's and Magnum Spoons. Lake trout fishing is good straight out and south of the harbor using Dodgers with Fly's, attractors with Spin-n-Glows or cut bait just off the bottom in 80 to 120 feet of water. Steelhead are hitting on color lines with small spoons and the brown trout are hitting long lines with body baits in the shallow waters 40 to 80 feet deep south of the harbor. A few walleye were taken off the North Wall when casting body baits.
