  1. Hey this is a cool thread, good idea Phishy! Here are my 2 best bucks, I still cant decide which ones better. The first one is a 11 point with a double drop with one drop tine broken off about an inch and a half from the main beam. I am an absolute nut for droptines!:D The second is a 14pt, with a very wide, dark, and palmated rack with a lot of mass. Still am contemplating which one is bigger haha, what do you guys think?

  2. My favorite is probably a black teardrop jig with a glow back and a red dot with wax worms. This year I am very interested in experimenting with the plastics. However some of the biggest gills I have caught through the ice have been on minnows while fishing for crappie.

  3. Sweet! GJ Matt. Sorry to hear about that Peter...this September during the youth hunt I hit a nice buck and knew it was a good hit. He jumped and kicked and then ran off and almost tipped over; his head was barely dragging above ground. We gave it a half hour and got a 6 person search party to go look for him (knowing it was a big deer). We looked for at least an hour without finding any blood at all. I was heartbroken and me and my dad had no idea what happened. I decided to go for a short walk in the swamp while my dad was talking to his friend and ended up stumbling across the buck piled up with a bullet hole through his neck but not a single drop of blood. I couldnt of thanked God enough.

  4. We have had the straps cut off tree stands before and that is not good. We always check before we go up to make sure everything is safe. It is a good thing you know where your stand is at least. Good luck this year!!

  5. What a GNARLY looking rack. AWESOME job man. MAN' date=' I have buck fever.[/quote']

Thank you!! When I saw him he was about 30 yards away standing behind me in some thick trees. He was looking right at me, facing head on. I immediately pulled my hammer back and worked my way into army crawl position. I literally laid there in a stare off with him for 10 minutes waiting for him to turn. During this time I could hardly think and was shaking like a leaf. He finally made the choice to turn and give me a broadside shot, except I had a tree covering his shoulder and had to take a neck shot. Talk about buck fever!!!:D

  6. Thanks Matt, good luck to you to. Its gonna be a little while before I get to go out because I dislocated my knee last night.:( Even tho I already got a beautiful deer this year, I still love being out there. Good luck tomorrow, hopefully you wack a big one!

  7. that is a awesome deer. Congrats! Is that a H&R slug gun

Thank you, and yes that is a H&R/NEF slug gun. It was originally a turkey gun then we sent it in and got a slug barrel put on it for 80$. It is a 12 ga barrel bored down to a 20 and is a tack driver!:D I can hit the same bullet hole at 100 yards with it:no: Also Lightfield slugs are the best for this gun.
