  1. Lots of boats tonight, but not much action. We lost a dandy on the wire dipsy again. This one pulled line 3 times before I lost it. Caught a 3-4 pound king on the SWR rod with an ole pete purple people eater with a red treble. No fish pics, but a pic of my buddy driving the boat, and some nice sunset pics. Wasn't a great night for fishing, but it sure was a great night to be on the lake:D

  2. Nope that didn't work. My printer isn't capable of turning the paper sideways, so I was hoping I could rotate the document instead. I guess I will have to see if my dads printer is capable of printing that way. You would think there is a way to rotate the document?

  3. thanks guys it does have thru the hull exhaust but im not sure i like that yet,i stub my toes on the mufflers maybe next year i can change it back.

I have thru hulls as well. The novelty does wear off after awhile. Mine are out of the way behind the motor box. I have had to pull my motor to tighten the y-pipe block off plate as it was leaking. That was a major pain. I may in the future go back to the ole exhaust thru the sterndrive at some point.

  4. Okay all you puter savy fisherman....I need help rotating the fishing log so it will print out on a standard sheet of paper. Anyone done this? Does it have to be put back into an excel file first? Im talking about the version that is on the site for download. Thanks.

  5. Nice background Sean! I wish my desk was that clean.

    Must have been the camera!:)

One suggestion from my experience the one issue I have had is with the cable bunching on the spool and chafeing the coating off. This has been a real problem since I moved it to my outside riggers. I am thinking that this year I will run it on non coated cable and live with it not working very much below 100 ft down. So make sure you wind it on tight and watch it so it does not bunch up in one spot on the spool.

Thanks Jim. I will have to keep an eye on it for sure. I am going to run it off my manual rigger on the back center. I have autostops on my brutes on my two outside riggers. I did see where there is a fix for this, but I haven't done that yet.

  6. I ran the releases for the first time last night, and so far Im happy with them. I didn't catch anything off the riggers, but it sure was nice to crank the rod tips down without the release popping! More feedback to come as I fish with them more.

  7. Sean, That's why they call the first trip a shakedown cruise. Your bound to forget something.:) The main thing is, you got out and checked the gear and boat.

Yes good point....it was a successful shakedown even without my box of lures:o

Nice work pecker.....one fish is not bad for the shakedown cruise, especially in the "dead sea":)

Yeah we need to warm up the dead sea for some catching.

of all the things to forget:no:

No doubt eh! My dad got a chuckle out of all my swearing!:)

  8. I was going to buy the new Fish Hawk X4, but I decided to buy the depth raider instead. I ordered one yesterday, as I got a heck of a deal at almost half the price of the fish hawk. Im hoping it will be here friday, so I can get some use out of it this weekend:D

  9. Yep Ken thats the one:) That many line twists eh! Thats good to know I will do that. So you recommend to crank down the top adjuster? Makes sense if you want to crank down the rod. It took me a bit to figure out how the release works, or how I think it works!lol. So the horizontal adjustment crank it right down for kings, or is it better to lighten it up some for the shakers? Should I just start out half way and tighten up as I go? Thanks can't wait to put them to use!

  10. Doesn't look like she is going to fit in the garage with the arch!!!

No doubt eh! She is a tight fit without the arch. I will have to fold it down before I put the boat away.

Nothing a Stihl cant fix. :D

Nice looking rig Sean! Lets see some pictures after you have your rod holders and riggers mounted.......and with some fish in the picture!

Will do Mike. I hope to have it together soon!

Looks good, nice to see all that snow gone.

Thanks! I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that the snow and ice is gone!

    Sean, She's looking good.:)

Thanks! Im pretty happy with how well it looks with the arch!
