    Hi Matt. I think if you can afford it when you buy your fishfinder look into a thru hull transducer and buy the highest power unit you can afford and match the transducer to your fishfinder if you can. I think mine is 600 watts and I can still read bottom at 45mph. Not that your going to be locating fish at that speed;) Personally I only have experience with my unit and can't recommend one other then the one I have used. Its a Raymarine and I would buy another one when the time comes. Good luck in your search

    Bought this generator last fall used from a friend. We used it for about 2 weeks in deer season. Bought it for camp, but decided to spend the money to run power into camp. The generator has a new plug, fresh oil change, and new battery. It's setup for propane, and also has the switch to start the generator inside camp. You would have to buy the length of wire, and plug if you were to use this feature from a honda dealer. My friend kept the wire and used it with his new generator. Runs great! Asking $900.00 or best offer. Thanks.

    Net-Mate Net Holder

    I was able to actually put the Net-Mate to use this weekend! We fished in 3-5footers on Sat and the Net-Mate never missed a beat;) I don't think anyone would be disappointed with the purchase. Thanks Mike for giving me the chance to field test the Net-Mate:D

    Net-Mate Net Holder

    I wasn't able to get out fishing this past week, or weekend to put this holder through it's paces. I will be heading to Fairport, MI. this weekend to put it to good use. I did install it on the boat in the yard. This holder seems to be well made. The main piece that attaches to the rail is machined out of aluminum. It should hold up well in the elements, and any abuse mother nature can throw at it. The only weak link that I can see is the piece that the net handle attaches too. I think its spring steel. It seems to be well coated like it was dipped, so it should hold up to the elements. This is the only issue I can see and only time will tell if it holds up to the elements. I really like this net holder, and would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to be able to stow there net out of the way. The Net-Mate doesn't take up any room, and for the price I can't find anything on the market that is comparible:D Here is some pics:

    The first one is what comes in the package. The two machined aluminum blocks to attach to the rail, and the two mounting screws. Also the net pole holder with an attaching screw and directions.

    Its simple to install. Two allen screws attach the main body to the rail.

    Then one philips screw to attach the net pole holder.
