i just got off the phone with my grandpa. this morning and he went back to the "honey hole" 55s 31-33s we went 8for9 fished untill 11am and satarted at 5:30

2 color on a rigger with ms mag beef went 3 times/ later switch to blue dolfin and went once

3 color on rigger ms sarge went 3 times/ later switch to northport nailer mashed bananna and went 1

full core double glow aice high green glow plug went once.

i just picked up some new sent lok man was that pricey and was wonderiing a good way to store it with out buyin a 50$ sent lok lined bag.

well for us its was a good year also we didnt fish for 5 weeks in a row and that put our totals down for the year our total fish count was 265 witch was a very pleasent suprise with 206 kings 39 steelhead 1 brown 8 coho and 20 lakers. we had a really good catch rate and with our biggest box going 21 fish and a biggest king went 23.7 biggest laker going 13.5 brown goin 4.1 pounds we had a really nice coho that went 11.4 and then biggest steelhead going a little over 12 so other that that we had a really good year for us anyways but the count is still going my grandpa is fish for two more weeks yet maybe we will hit he 300 marker

i got up there thurday and was going to fish friday morning so we got up a 4 the crew got there a 4:30 with my grandpa limiting out in 40 fow south of the peri so thats where we went to we fish in there and went 1 for 2 so we put it on a sw and went to 200 fow in the 52s just got lines set and they started popin we fish out there for three hours and boated 7 steelhead one king and a 12 pound laker thing that were going

we did the midnight shift got up and 12;30 and put in went to 35 fow and put 5 rods and and time we got to the project we where 5for 7 at 2:30 then we hit a dead spot until 5;30 and put two more in we were about realy to pull lines in at 7:30 am in 30fow just south of the peri heads and rigger goes put that one in the boat and 5 color goes with 9 in the box we spun back and gett the rods out the riggers goes again

ludington was really slow and what iv heard manistee is really slow to

nice job that swr has been talking 75% of our fish on our boat i dont know wat about the lead core on rigger dose it but i really dont care bice job on teh fish tho

i got picked up and went over last night for a one day trip thought that every one was going north so we went back to the honey hole 55s 33s-34 started in 100 fow and played around there for a while a took a few good kings keep in the same genreal area all day and went 9-18 lost a ton of fish there was know hot and heavy bits but a steady pick all day long

3 color on rigger with mag moonshine sarge went 5-8 times

2 color on a rigger with reg sarge went 2 time then swiched over to kelly green j-plug and that went a 5 times or so

high diver out 150 with double glow j-plug went once

i was sitting there takiin fish on riggers down 75 and thought of a way to get a full core down there to put a 30 jet diver on lead any one try it?

nice job that shelf drops from 60fow to 120 in about a mile and keeps going i was hearing good reports in the 06s and 07s

we got up to ludington saturday night and seen that the waves where 5-8 and it didnt look good for sunday but we got up and we had a crew with us so we fished went to where we fished last week set in 90 fow 55s first hit on 3 color on rigger sarge moonshine down 60 that went two times and didnt get any to the baot . then a small king made to the the box on a full core with green splatter j-plug then we trolled for a while with out a hit went south to the 52s and took a 9 pound steelhead on fullcore with blue whale after that was in teh baot 3 color down 60 went again but it was a nice 8 pound coho that was it for the day pulled lines a 12:30

my brother got his yearly trip in and we went to south so we could come back with them went to the 52s and 35 went deep with a feeling that wthe fish would be out there. got sat down and didnt do anything on a northh troll for 20 min so swung back south and as soon as we did that 3 color went with sarge down 75 gave that to my brother and after a nice long fight that was boat a really nice king 19 pounds after that got in the boxt full core went screming with blue splatter j-plug that was a half hour fight a real nice king that was weighted a dock 9 hours later a 23.7 pounds im guess it went 25 at the first it was a really nice fish after that was was in the box got eveeery thing set a 2 color down 85 on a rigger with happee meal went and this fish kicked his butt after it came to the boat it went 20.1 pounds at the dock then after half hour i seen the both riggers twich and doubled up with a 8 pound male 4 yearold and a 5 pound feeder king then things slowed down for us we went 4 hours untill our next bite that was a 8 pound coho on rigger down80 with dancing anchovie and then we pulled lines a 12:30 it was a nice morning out there and out biggest fish on the boat in 7 years the last one was my grandpas 37.8 pounder

10th

i fished all week long got up late and started at 2 pm and fish to 6 went to 150fow stait out went 3 for 5 all on 10color on a rigger fown 85with reg moonguse

11th

got up at 3:30 am went to 100fow little south and was a blur from there just two of us ended goiing 10for? by 7:20 ran 4 rods two full cores with plugs took few hits 3 color on a rigger with moonshine sarge was HOT it went prob 6-8 times and 2 color with mag sarge went 4-5 times fun morning.

12th

had a crew with us same spot same program but with few tangles had 3 fish on one on 3 color one on 2 color a full core got mixed all together and lost all three baits and fish 2 sarges and a ace high plug ended pulling 12 for 25 or so.

13th

had my uncle and his father inlaw same place same program but in a little ways from 90-70fow and only lost 1 sarge and the crew keep them on a little better and went 13for19 had to pull lines at 9 the cooler got to full (pics will be posted)

pm

went to 180fow set up first fish on 3 color sarge 2nd same rod but lost the fish and spoon then put a moongoose on and that went 3 times put two in the baot next two where on rigger with 10 inch blue bubble spin doc/fly noxed 5 only fish from 5-7 so it was a nice night

14th same spot as the day befor but only ran 3 rods 2 riggers one 3 color with sarge and other 2 color with happee meal and full core with sarge had a rough start going 0for4 then put the next 11 in the boat with one relase done by 7:00

had a amazing time in ludington and went to chucks everyday ended up buying 9 sarges they were REALLY REALLY HOT for us i think that we ended up taking 59 fish in 5 days 11.8 fish a day not to bad had 11.4 coho biggest one this year

i didnt realize i ran into you guys i was the kid that took your picture and hung my fish up after you.

yeah i did it i ran two 10 colors with no problems just limit the divers and other lead

the moonshine bloody nose is one of my favorite spoons to use spring summer and fall its goes i put it on a rigger

Aug5 AM

got up to ludington late at 9:30 set lines at 10:15 went strait out got all lines set up in 120 fow and the 5 color on rigger. then we trolled south down to the 52s and about 1:30 took a king on other rigger

Aug 5 PM

got out a 8:30 went to 80 fow inthe 52s and put on NW and took a king on 2 color with a happee meal

Aug 6 Am

set up in 120 starit out and put on a west troll first came on 3 color down 97 lost fish and spoon got another happee meal out and put it down then fired again and that fish went in to the low diver lost that fish and spoon. next one came on full core with double trouble missed that one then laker on rigger with bloody nose and while neting that fish the full core with half pound went that was a coho with bad toad

Aug 6 Pm went out deep went to the 55s 41s ans set up first on came in at 350fow on 6 color with ss magic man steelhead then the fullcore went with blue whale a king then the shoot rigger went with crome blue spin doc and blue fairways fly down 60 a laker all came in between 350 and 300 kept on a NE troll and then full core with half pound when with yellow submerine another king then that went again with out half pound then dipsy high diver back 130 with bloody nose when a king then as soon as that got reset it went again with a 12.5 steelhead really nice fish all this came be4 11:30 then it dried up for about 30 min and got into the 34.5 55s abd 6 color went with tangerine tarzan got out full and went back to dock at 12:30 am finally a good night to end a few slow days of fishing i will be up the monday moring untill fiiday
