Took the wife and granddaughter out yesterday. Launched at 11:30.. Real foggy until around 1:30. Fished from the piers using my trails from the GPS until the fog cleared. The granddaughter ended up with two coho in the boat. Losing 3. and having a knock off. Jointed rapalas worked the best fishing in 20 to 25 ftw.

Well I was here at home washing my truck. Had to be a little windy out there. Sail flow says it will be a good day to fish on Monday with little wind. St Joe time for now.

Went fishing today with Mike the (Deuce). Went 10 for 16. We threw back 4 Lake trout, and a small Brown and losing a Coho at the boat. The 9 Coho we kept were all in the 2 too 3lb range. The Brown was about 4 lbs..They were all taken on a south troll. Brads thin fin orange and black took 3, orange and chrome took 2, and 5 were taken on a old jointed Rapela that I had in the box. We fished in about 20 ft of water. Using the riggers and in line boards. It was a great way to start the season.. Sorry about the pictures but I am having trouble getting downloaded.

I have a EZ loader tandem trailer (3yrs old) that has excessive tire wear on the outside of one of the tires. After surfing around I beleive that the axel might be out of alignment. The question is, does anyone know of a place where I can hull the boat and trailer together and get it repaired. Anywhere close to Ionia, Mi would be a plus.
Thanks

Fished by the nuke plant. 68 fow caught 5 coho in the boat. The wife having a knock off when we hit a double what a gas . Also had a problem netting the first one of the day didn't get it.. But the upside we have fish. They came on slim fish orange with the black lines and red and gold..Off the riggers 14 down and 40 back and 20 down 30 back. Nothing off the boards. Action starting at around noon. Sorry no pic's but the fish were all healthy in the 3 to 4 lb range.
Hank
The temp off my prob was 43 down 20

Anyone fishing St. Joe tomorrow (thur.) And if you want to share info I will be on channel 68. If I find fish I will give a shout. Figure from 20 to 60 fow will be a good place to hunt.

Yes,with the mud line is still around the peirs with some floating lumber. Watch the water when you are under way.. Also talked too a DNR officer after coming off the lake and he said that the coho are plentiful at Bridgman.

Went fishing today and went 3 for 4. Two coho and one brown. Trolled from the piers to the chalets. Picking up a coho on a small orange flasher with orange peanut fly, off the rigger. Also one coho on a brown and yellow jointed repella..The Brown that we (the wife and I ) kept hit a thin fish, both of these were off of boards all fish were caught before 11am in 15 ft of water. After that we burned the fuel but only caught a small brown and threw him back. Was the first trip to St. Joe and also the first trip of the season. So the skunk is gone and we are happy.
