Yeah catching fish on all of the lines not just the cheaters. Cheaters usually run at half of the depth of the main line so when I'm fishing 20 feet down my cheaters will run 10 and surprisingly catch most of the fish. But all of the lines are catching fish. The salmon are here now and I'm not worried about my boat anymore... Was just having bad luck for a while and was getting worried I guess lol. And yes the whole boat is bare aluminum.

Hey iwanagofishin. I am from rossport Ontario now living in terrace bay, an area you must be familiar with as you lived in Nipigon. I bought a 21 foot Stanley islander in the fall and I am cursed this year for catching salmon. I am constantly catching Lakers on cheaters 10 feet under the boat and only probably 10 feet back, but I can not get a salmon in my boat. I usually do really well but not with the new boat. But I am thinking that I am the problem or bad luck and it isn't the boat considering I am catching lots of Lake trout and rainbows basically right at the boat. Going to test everything with a meter tomorrow when I am in rossport where my boat is. But what do you think? considering all the fish I am catching right in my prop wash? Easily over 150 lake trout this year and 6 rainbows and a cohos but no king salmon. Have had a few kings on and didn't get them in the boat. Does this sound like just my bad luck?
