Thanks everyone for your advise, will certainly give all a try.

This is going to be my first time fishing from the beach on Lake Superior. I've got my 12 ft and 91/2 rods with 20 lb braid and a 3 way swivel, using 1/2 and 1 oz prymid sinkers. I'll be fishing salmon eggs, and shrimp. I understand in the salmon eggs sacks I need to use floaters? What size? How many? Do shrimp float by themselves when on a hook or how do I rig them? Using 12 lb mono for my extensions How long should I go? What do you all recommend for hooks (size and type). Oh, I've got my chest waders. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks all
