  1. Thanks for the report.I never fished out of saugatuck, just wondering how far off-shore the 100fow is ? We fish out of a small boat, and don't like to get too far off-shore
  2. Anyone know how the fishing has been out of GH ?We got skunked over the labor-day weekend We fish out of a smaller boat and would like to do some "peir patroll" this week-end (13-14th)if the fish are there.
  3. I'm planning on fishing gh this sat/sun.Just wondering how the salmon action has been close to the peir out to 60fow or so.I fish out of a smaller boat and don't like to get out very far on the big water. The last few year's i've done pretty good in close first thing in the a.m. and the last hr or so before dark.I just don't want to make the long drive over if the fish are still out deep.Any info would be a big help:)
  4. Sat. set line's at 5:15am.Fished 25-40fow in front of peir untill 9:30am.Went 5/11 on the king's,biggest going 17lbs.Moon-shine spoon's and white-glow spin doc. with green-glow horse-fly took most hit's.Sun. ran same program went 4/4,biggest going 14lbs.1 dark fish, the rest nice and silver and full of fight:lol:
  5. Thanx for the reply.Good luck too all ,be safe AND FISH ON!!!!!!!!!
  6. From the sound's of the report's the fish have moved off-shore away's at most port's.Is this correct?I'll be fishing fri-mon. staying in g.h. but am willing to drive to a differnt port if it up's my odd's of getting fish.I see the forecast is calling for wind's from the north thru the weekend. Will this bring the fish in close?I'll be fishing out of a smaller boat and was hopeing to stick fairly close to the peir's.ANY info. would be a big help too me,as i'm pretty new to fishing the big water.Thanx guy's ED
  7. Took the day off and made to drive over to grand haven.Set line's about 4:45am.in 40fow just south of peir.Got our 1st hit at 5:10 on a rigger 20 down, moonshine bloody nose.Lost him at the net[very bad net job on my part]Next hit on diver 15ft down moonshine mongolin beef at 5:30,lost him after about 3-4 min.Rigger AND diver poped at 6:05 [nose, beef] lost 1,landed the other 8lb. steelhead:grin:Last hit on rigger[nose] at 6:50,about 12-14 lb. king ,somehow got wrapped around motor:angry2:GONE!!spoon and fish.Fished untill about 9 called it a day.Not a very good hooked/landed avg. but sure was fun:lol:All but 1 hit was on north troll.

  10. How far offshore is the 100-130fow?I would love to try for some salmon, but i'd be fishing in a 17fter.and don't want to get too far offshore.
  11. Hey guy's,I'm pretty new to the big water fishing.I'm planning a week of vac.for the first week of july.I've heard that you don't have to run out as far to find the salmon out of saugatuck in the summer. Is this true?I'm planning on camping with the family and in-law's so a port with nice camp-ground's in the area would be nice.Any info. would be a big help:grin:Thanx
