There is a new way to keep your boat clean and free of invasive species in Higgins Lake. Michigan Department of Natural Resources has partnered with local organizations to provide three boat washes at the lake. To prevent the introduction and spread of invasive species, boaters are encouraged to use the wash stations before and after they enter the lake. Read the full story by Up North Voice. Don Einhouse of Silver Creek has finally retired after 37 years of doing the things that he loved in what was essentially his backyard, Lake Erie.
