Next weekend I will be heading up to pickup my 17' boat from Caseville. Since I will be there I figured I would try trolling for browns or steel out of Caseville or Port Austin. I tried last year and did pick up a number of lakers out of PA around this time of year. Any insight on the best place to try in this area?

Thanks, I've been watched a bunch of boats come in at PA during lunch on the webcams. (Helps pass the time!) Heading up for the weekend. Has anyone had any luck at the tip of the thumb yet? I'm trying to decide whether to stick with the walleye fishing around Caseville or try for silvers. Any recent reports would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also thinking of giving PA a try this weekend. The wind forcast is not so good but might be OK close to the pier. Have you had much success for browns and steel in the past? I fish this port quite often in the summer but this would be my first try in the early spring. Any help would be great.
