  1. Hi, I'm Steve. I haven't had a boat for about 4 or 5 years. I found a decent 1999 crestliner and I'm in the process of rigging it up and looking forward to getting out on the big lake. Most of my salmon/trout fishing is in the u.p. (drummond island). I'm thrilled to have a trailer boat now which will allow me to get in on the action on Lake Mich and Saginaw Bay.

  2. This is off my boat. I am replacing it with a GPS/Fishfinder unit from Frank at Calumet Marine. It's an awesome little unit for Marking Fish, Baitfish, Tracking Cannonball, etc. You can't find a Raymarine Unit or any unit for that matter in color in this price range with these capabilities. I'll take it back for 30 days if it does not work. I know It does because I've been using it this season. $180 Shipped including Tri-Ducer.

  3. Ryan, spoke at length about this with Ryan and we decided for my needs the Dragonfly was the biggest bang for the buck. Ordered it from him today along with a marine radio for my new old boat. I'm really stoked to get it in and see the new technology. Now I just need someone to buy my DS400x. Its a sweet little fishfinder.

  4. I have for sale two Cannon Unitrol HP Downriggers. Both have low profile swivel bases and the mounting attachment. They are in very good condition. Each has a couple normal wear spots on the booms. Booms 24" to 52". The bodies are in great shape and each is rigged with a full spool (200') of cable and a terminator. They each have a single rod holder. I have pictures and will post them here shortly. Asking $425 for the pair. I live in SE Michigan and am willing to meet or ship. Shipping them is negotiable too.

I also have a 7'-6" Cannon Formed Aluminum Downrigger Board In excellent condition. It comes with Two Eagle Feet Mounting System Brackets. The board has end caps and can be cut to length. It was made for the cannon plate style mounting brackets but would work with the swivel bases if a plate or piece of UHMW were machined to fit the track. I have the UHMW and will machine it if there is a buyer for the board. This would make a really nice setup for someone. $125 for the board w/adapter plates to receive swivel bases. $100 for just the board. (both prices include the eagle feet)

Also, 2 Titelok (I believe 22.5 degree) flush mount, fixed position rod holders. $32 for the pair shipped.

  5. From what I have heard the sonar has been excellent and people have been relatively happy with the unit. Although the GPS is basic and it has absolutely no com ports if you need to network it with your VHF or another unit, I don't even think you can add an external antenna.

If your looking for a combo unit the Garmin 547xs would be a much better CHIRP combo with the best GPS but cost a little more.

You can actually network your DS-400 with the Garmin but not the Raymarine Dragonfly.

Frank also mentioned this to me on another website. How much does a little more mean? It's kind of hard to put all the costs together right now. I'd want to buy it without a transducer and then buy a chirp transducer separate, correct? Also, how would the DS-400 network? With a cable? Thank you for your response
