  1. Fair warning

The weather is so far not looking to good for Sunday. If it calls for what I am seeing right now I will cancel it. But I will make the call at 3pm Saturday if we are or not going to have this event. With gas prices up so much I want everyone to have alot of fun fishing and not have to fish in crappy weather.

Sorry but thats the way it will be,

    Caznik :)

Not for sure, call me anytime on weekends at 1-269-908-0286 or after 7pm on weekdays.

    Weather so far:

Friday Night: South wind between 9 and 16 knots. Occasional showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8pm. Waves 1 to 3 feet.

Saturday: West southwest wind between 9 and 16 knots, with gusts as high as 25 knots. Occasional showers, mainly before 8am. Waves 2 feet or less.

Saturday Night: Northwest wind between 14 and 17 knots. A chance of showers. Waves 2 to 4 feet.

Sunday: North northwest wind between 8 and 13 knots. A chance of showers. Waves 2 to 4 feet.

The weather is so far not looking to good for saturday or Sunday. If it calls for what I am seeing right now I will cancel it. But I will make the call at 3pm Friday if we are or not going to have this event. Also if it does not look good for Sunday I will call this event off even if it looks fishable for Saturday. In every event that I will have I am planning on making one trip over to the lake to get two days of fishing because of gas prices. With gas prices up so much I want everyone to have alot of fun fishing and not have to fish in crappy weather.

  3. To all West Mich. Fishing league teams,

Just like to say thank you very much for signing up in this fun fishing league called the W.Mich. Fishing league. This league was designed to get members off from a few sites to get a chance to meet some guys that happen to fish on Lake Michigan. These are fun fishing events that have made many friendships for the past 5 years that I have been running. Every captain must be on channel 72 to give out fishing information for the teams that are having a tuff time fishing during whatever event I am holding. Remember guys that I also want everyone to have a good time fishing together so please keep every commit on the radio at a PG rating because there maybe a family or a young child on another boat fishing and I do not want some family team or child to here something bad on the radio. Also please guys if you do get skunk, do not worry about it because even the best teams do get skunked and even the Caznik team does a few times. There is one major thing I do not want and that is cell phone talk on this league. Please do not team up with another team and think of this league as a big tournament because it is not. This is more of a outing and a fun competition fishing event than a fishing tournament. So teams, I hope that you will all have a very good time this year and good luck. I hope that you will be the next 2008 West Michigan Fishing League points champ this year.

  8. New Member - First Post! (Great Site BTW)

Caz - Could you give some details on the aluminum you used for your board? Location? Size/specs? Cost? I too have a Fisherman 1700 and would like to hit the big pond this spring/summer (I'll be fishing out of Milwaukee/Port Washington). Yours looks like it's set up for many hours of good times on the water - Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

Also, my GPS puck is located in the area of where I'd mount a board - any worries about interference???

Thanks to all for their input...Coach

Hey members, I am going to keep on taking some more teams for awhile till I at least reach 60. So come on and sign up for some fun fishing with alot of nice members to meet and fish with..:)

  10. the secret to using less voltage is a low impedance system. Say you use an amp tha has 2 ohm capabililties, and 2 or 4 ohm speakers, you get more power going to the speakers without having to crank so much power through the amp. Les resitance = less power needed. You can actually get more power out of your amp too. If you use an amp thats rated @ 4ohms and try to run 2 ohm speakers you could fry your amp though.

Looks like all my new speakers have 4 ohms in them. So can I use a 4 ohm amp or use less than that. What brans should I get to?

    Caz

  11. I just noticed. I linked the wrong Infinities. (rear speakers) I bought the Kapas.

    http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=52300&i=1086937I&tp=91

You got a lot of goods for a great price. I'm sure you'll enjoy fishing much more. I'm thinking you'll need an amp now...:D

ya my plans are to get a amp, but what kind and whitch one would be the better one for what I have. Also will my battery hold up for me. I will probly only use that radio no more than two hours a trip. You think I should get a new battery with 1000 amps.

    Rich
