Ok Teams,

Some of us has fished the rules this way and some are new at this. But anyways, in this event we are going to have the rules like the old times fishing the fishing league where certain fish count for different points. The rules are different and alot of fun. So please teams look at the rules and print them off right now. We are also having a challenge against the St. Joe fishing league. So league please cheer on the teams that will challenge the St Joe league. Now after this event I am going to have a vote on what rules you like the most of.

The classic rules or this years rules.

1- Must pay entry fee at 4:30am(If you are going to be late, then call my cell phone at 1-269-908-0286 and leave a meassage. I leave the docks at 4:30am sharp, so if you do not leave me a meassage and I do not get you on the marine radio before 6am. Then you will be DQed for being a late show. There will be no more checking in after 6am while everyone is fishing.)

2- All fishing events start at 5 am and must pull lines at 11am.

3- Weigh in starts at 12:30(If you get called two times at the weigh in and you are not there. You will be DQed

4- Cost is $15.00 a boat.($5.00 of it goes towards big fish)

5- All boats must only use 6 rods

6- 2-4 Man teams(If you have 4 or more fishermen in your boat as a team you can only catch a 3 MAN LIMIT)

7- Weigh in 6 fish of any kind (Salmon, Coho, Steelheads, Browns, and Lakers) weigh in 3 fish for the 3rd event and weigh in 3 fish for the 4th event. The fish you weigh in for the 3rd event will have to have zip ties on the fish and the 4th event fish will not have zip ties on the fish.

9- Make sure when you weigh your big fish for the big fish prize money that you know what fish is your biggest.(NO CHECKING AT THE SCALES)

10- NO - CULL RULE- If you box your fish you keep that fish. You can throw back fish if they are not bleeding.

11- All captains that fish any event must sign a waiver form before they fish any event. You only have to sign it one time and it will cover you for all five events.

Fish points:

1- Browns= 20 pts.

2- Steelheads= 15 pts.

3- Kings= 10 pts

4- Coho's= 5 pts.

5- Laker's= 0 pts.

BONUS points- Any fish that has a clipped anipost fin(that is the fin by the tail) will receive 5 bonus points...

Plus 1 point per pound for all your fished weighed in.

Most Important Rule

1. This is a FUN tournament. We ask people to share fishing tips on the radio (Channel 72). Please keep your comments at a PG rating. This is a family orientated event.

More Rule's

We always have to fish safe so nobody gets hurt out fishing on Lake Michigan. So this is how the storm and wind warnings are going to work. All tournaments must be fished till 8am. If everyone is called back to shore because of any kind of storm warnings before 8am then the tournament will be called off till the blow date. You can either get you entry fee back or I can hold it till the next tournament. Every captain must make sure there radio is working on channel 72 or if it’s looking like the weather is getting to be questionable. Captains better make sure you have a cell phone to call any captain to see what’s going on. The weather man may call the weather nice the day before, but you never know what may happen on the day of the tournament.

Big Fish Game Big Fish leader= Ramble On- 12lb. King

Each captain will have to put in $10.00 to enter the Big Fish Game. You only have to put in one time only and that is it. You will have to pay me before you go out fishing and not at the weigh in. Any captain that wants to fish any of these tournaments can get in this fun game even though you just happen to sign up latter on.(BUT YOU CANNOT SIGN UP FOR THIS IN THE LAST EVENT) Now how this will work is the captain that has the BIGGEST fish of the year will win all the cash. If you cannot make the last event, I will send you a check.

Well after hearing all about the Dreamweaver and Big Jon chairty event in a magazine all over my work place, I ran down and picked up a Woods and water magazine last night. Tim Stein our West Michigan fishing leagues cheif editor has writen a very nice article on the Dreamweaver and Big Jon chairty event and the West Michigan fishing league. I like to say that Tim you did a very good job on wrighting that article and thank you very much. Guys you will have to get your magazine and take a look at it.
