  1. Fished out of grand haven last night mainly to try out the boat after I did some late season repairs, ugh, but still optimistic that we could put some fish in the boat. But wow that didn't happen dismissal night to say the least. Coming out of the channel around 5pm marking fish constantly but wanted to try it a little deeper first, set lines in 50 fow worked out to 100 and back a couple times took one release on a rigger 40 down 60fow stinger green puke and that was it for the night couldnt even get a bump around the pier heads as the sun went down.. Needless to say the fishing was slow but the boat did great, hopefully fixed now, and it was a beautiful night on the water.
  2. Put in at port Sheldon but ran to grand haven to visited some family staying at the state park. After dodging in and out of boat traffic we headed west and dropped lines in 105 fow worked all the way back to port Sheldon on a se sw troll from 100 to 120 fow 1/4 took one laker on dipsy on 3 140 back Carmel dolphin. And took the other hits on 50 down pattern with green latter back spoons.
  3. 2/2 on steelies Saturday night, fished right around 100 fow all night because we were marking good fish all night from 60 down up to the top. Finally at around 8:30 we got two to go back to back then nothing, so needless to say we weren't skunked but it was slow, the fish and bait were there they just didn't want to cooperate. What worked: 8 color lead green puke dw spoon Rigger 50 down silver green latter back dw spoon
  4. Took a Sunday funday trip with the old grandfather in his boat. Started south of the piers in 85 fow and didn't even get all the lines set and had a release and rip on the rigger 50 down with a green orange dolphin spoon. So we decided to work north south between 85/ 95 fow and ended 2/4 before the rain came. Orange was the magic color, rigger hit once, mag dypsy 125 back on 2 with double orange crush took a fish, and full core double orange crush hit back to back with nice kings and we lost both at the boat. Both fish boated we're nice cohos.
  5. Ran out of port sheldon Saturday night and got lines in the water around 5:30 ish. Set up in 90 fow worked sw, nw out to 115 couldnt get anything to go, cut straight east into 85 fow starting marking a good amount of fish right on top headed south in that water and went 4/5 in 45 minutes, two throw back kings both were legal but small, got a pair of 8 pounders in the box. Mixed veggie on dipsy 75 ft back set on 3, rigger 50 ft down with stinger green puke, and 6 color lead core stinger green puke took the fish. All and all beautiful night on the water and had a lot of fun.
