  1. NEWS FLASH ... Jim Kramer, the new owner of our title sponsor Schu's Grill and Bar, has announced he will continue the tradition of serving prime rib at the awards ceremony this year!
  2. Fishing is off to a hot start in St. Joe! Come and join us ... www.fishthesummerchallenge.com
  3. Sure ... Give me a call and I will pre-register you. 269-208-2784. Hope you can make it.
  4. Well I fat fingered that a bit ... You get the seminar, lunch and $20 off a trip if you book that day.
  5. Please consider joining us for our Steelhead Seminar on October 19th at Berrien Hills Golf Club. The program will run from 8 AM to noon and the cost is $25 for adults and $5 for kids 16 and under. We have four very experienced captains speaking on four different techniques: Russ Clark on walking spawn, Todd Brill on drifting spawn, Jerry Link on backtrolling plugs and Bob Lausman on forward trolling plugs. Lunch is included and you will receive $20 and trip booked with any of the licensed captains. We also have a boat show planned in the parking lot as the captains and club members will bring their custom river boats for you to check out. You can pre-register at Tackle Haven or the Fishin Hole. You can also pay at the door but we are limiting it to 50 adults. I hope you can make it. Jim Marohn President SW MI Steelheaders
  6. Dave -

Would you be able to speak at the Jan. 10 meeting of the SW MI Steelheaders about you South Haven boating accident and rescue? We are meeting at Berrien Hills GC now. It would be much appreciated by all of our members!

    Thx,

    Jim Marohn

  7. Ryan - It is true that there is an effort to build a state of the art fish cleaning station just like the one in Holland in St. Joe at the City's ramp on the island. The initiative is being led by the St. Joe Municipal Marina Harbor Authority with support from the City and the Southwest Michigan Steelheaders. A grant to the Great Lakes Fisheries Trust has been requested. If all goes well this station could be constructed in 2013. It will be a big improvement to our port and I hope that many of you who have bypassed St. Joe in the past will reconsider in the future.
