  1. Bill - thanks for the info!! Here is some info on salmon sharks: researchers put satellite tags on dozens of us salmon sharks, starting in summer 2002. They grow large -- Salmon sharks grow to 10 feet long, are stout -- almost 900 pounds of muscle. And FAST -- one of the speediest! The U.S. Navy's has clocked Salmon sharks at nearly 50 mph.!! That may be just a little faster than the Star craft Super sport you use !! Obviously, they are predators, whose favorite food is Pacific salmon!
  2. Thanks for the information Bill, i know what you mean to get into the deep clear water is what makes the trip, especially when you find fish out there too!! If we wanted to fish dirty water we would stay in the Grand !!
  3. If I were you I would bring your copper, wire dipsy, and some mono !!

Good luck out there - check 80-100 before heading deep !!

  4. KING SALMON 1- AM PLANNING ON FISHING OUT OF GRAND HAVEN THIS WEEKEND, any word on the depth to go to before finding fish ? Also- should i bring all of my copper rods are the fish deep , scattered, or heading north after this lengthy SW blow?

  5. Nice job on the last trip, where else in the world can a man catch that kinda box !!
  6. Hi- just thought i'd let you know that the TX44 boards work great on our 16' Starcraft. We have taken all other boards out of the boat ( probably had 12 different boards of four different types over the years )and are going exclusively with the 44's. Run them on all lengths of copper from 75 to 600 !!. They have been impressive thus far. The provided tow arm and reverse clip holds good and the boards track real well even with the 600 copper we started using this year when we have to get deep( we only run two riggers so this gives us another deep water option ) . Even with this 600 copper the board tracks well to the side and in step with a 300 copper board ! Got lucky and picked up a pair of the 44's for $22 pc when they first came out at D n R sporting goods. Added four more later for under $30 a pc. Get em they work great !
  7. Good info on your last trip!
