  1. Hypnotist in green or blue as triple teasers and dreamweaver mountain dew as a single fly. Green behind green/chrome/glow spindoctors and blue behind blue/chrome/glow spindoctors.
  2. I believe that diver colors matter alot. I usually run two divers per side my low diver is wire set on 1 1/2 and my high diver is a braid that I have set on 3. I match the colors of my divers to my rotator and fly combos or meat rigs when I am running at or below 50 ft of water, and when the fish are up higher I switch up my tactics and run clear divers, I have found this to increase my catch over the years. Also when the fish are above 50 ft of water I will only run my high divers and I will start to run more leadcore (this allows for a greater distance between baits and helps to decrease spooking the fish). Hope this helps. Good Luck!
  3. Happy to be here. If it helps anyone out on Monday our fish where coming on 3 and 7 colors and our wire divers set on a 3 setting out 65 on one side and 75 on the other. Ran downriggers at first light but around 730 in the morning I pulled my starboard side and only ran my port for my fish hawk without a bait attached due to fish being very spooky, I was running my inline boards a minimum of 75 yards away from the boat. Best colors where red or blue flies and meat rigs. Good luck to all.
  4. Fished north of Manistee this past weekend and did very well for the tough conditions with the cold water so high. Fished Friday night and pulled in 7 salmon and one lake trout, let two small kings go the biggest was 23.5. Went out Saturday morning and landed 13 letting two small kings go, we had 7 kings that went between 20 and 22.5 lbs. Sunday morning went out of Onekama due to winds and landed 12 and again letting go two small kings, this time we had a nice brown and 3 cohos in the mix. Monday morning the water was cold with the surface being 45.9 degrees, we still managed to put 9 fish in the boat 8 kings and 1 coho, the last fish of the morning was a king that went 27.5 lbs, what a fight in that cold water. We went out saturday night and landed 2 kings so we decided to just fish the mornings. All in all we took home 38 fish with 15 being ove 20 lbs. and the smallest king we kept weighed in at just over 13 lbs. What a weekend for us, we look forward to it every year and this year was exceptional. We where tenative to go up due to the poor reports but luck was on our side this past weekend. I am going to try and post a pic of the big king but its on my phone and I am not sure how to attach it. Good luck to all.
