Run 17# Big Game for the last 2 years before that it was (I know there is gonna be some ney sayers) 10# Big Game. Its all about drag landed plenty of fish on 10# line with a 8 year old on the rod. I run all Sealine 47LC's with the dragmasters upgrades. I did break fish off with the 10# line but in the last 2 years have not broke the 17#. I do run 25# flouro leaders on my copper and cores.
