  1. Went out bright and early sun mourning, started out from the Rasin river bouys it was pretty slow managed 4 fish on a very long troll. then picked up and moved out sw of the point in 24-26 fow and really got on them. By far the most productive bait of the day was a red & copper harness off of a 1oz inline 10 feet behind the board. Also caught a few fish 30 feet back with the same harness.
  2. Perch jerked Tues, out in front of the tower in 14 fow. Perfect day to be out. and the fish were very active. Once we set up outside of pack. It was nonstop action. Took home 30 between two guys. Could of kept more but who wants to clean more than that. The fish we did take home were all over 9 in. One thing we did notice is the larger minnows did take larger fish. Have fun and leave some for the hard water.
  3. Made the run to the Island on Sunday. We had perfect conditions to make the run from Lake erie metro park. Started the day at the wagon wheel, was very suprised to only find 3-4 boats casting. Our mission was to get our fish by trolling cranks and spoons. started on one side with reefrunners, and the other with spoons on jet 30's. After our second pass it became clear that spoons were the choice of the day. After two passes the spoons had picked up 4 fish while the cranks only picked up 1. After the second pass we thought ther might be better fish going somewhere else. So we made the move to the North-East corner of the Island. As soon as we rounded the corner we knew there were more fish there by the number of the boats (12-15). This time Armed with all spoons we made quick work of it. One pass and we filled the rest of our three tags. 21-25 FOW with jet 30's back 60-80 feet back was the trick. speed was 2.2-2.6. Hot spoons of the day were:Yellowtail: :Kevorkian: :LemonIce: all in the regular stinger size.
  4. Just wanted to say thet I just got into the book, it has already change the way i will fish. It is by far the most in-depth fishing related reading I have found. Not much of a book guy but this is one must-read
