Question Frank
do you guys pump antifreeze throught your four stroke outboards? the reason I ask is the new merc four strokes dont mention it in there winterizing reccomendations. Just putting the motor in the down position according to them is what you need to do but im not convinced so I am wondering what Honda reccomends.
I don't think you need to do anything with outboards you can use them all winter .Bud

If you spend 5 or 10 min. wiping it off when you take it out of the water is what works best for me just keep a couple towels in the boat, I do wax it one time each year .Bud

I went out this afternoon it was not a bad ride out started fishing in 155' and trolled west caught a coho on 2 color with a thinfish red we marked fish from 60 and up the wind came up and made it hard to go where I wanted so I turned at 190' toward shore picked up 4 more before I had to quit, 2 came on white spinny and fly down 75'on rigger we ended up with 5 for 6, I think the fish are moving in best depth was around 160'feet of water .Bud
