  1. CHUM BUCKET Charters crew started off the 2014 season with a win on Hubbard lake. We pulled 17 keepers with the 5 largest weighing 15.20#. All the fish were in 12-20 Fow and came on a mixture of body baits trolled at 1.6- 2.4 mph. We haven't entered a Thunder Bay Walleye Club tournament in years but I think I might start again this season!!! Great work crew!!!
  2. We had a great day on the water yesterday started fishing around 6:30getting a limit and heading back to port around three. We fished around Thunder Bay Island all day. First fish was a 17 pound laker on a wire dipsey. The rest of the catch included five Atlantic Salmon, three Coho's, one Steelie, and five more Lake Trout. All the fish were on spoons which were Silver Streak's and my own Hand Painted spoons in bright colors such as mongoose and mixed veggies. Wire divers were set out 80-100 and fireline divers were back 150-175. Riggers were best at 35-45 down in 55-70 fow. Leadcores were getting a few fish too.
  3. Anyone been getting any good numbers of fish in the bay lately?
  4. Can't stress super sharp hooks!!!!!! I have always used a lur Jensen hook file to make them needle sharp! !!!!!! On our last trip we hooked and landed a king that was only hooked by the eyeball. For tying up flies I choose the eagle claw 777 hook with strait points and they are 4x strong!!!! Hope this helps. Good luck!!!!!
