Seems like most people are using inline planer boards. Does anyone use planer boards anymore? Do you still use the inlines in rougher(3-5') water?

How many different types of wire line are there? What are the benefits to each? I am guessing you attach a mono leader to them? How do you attach the mono leader to the wire?

I added a second navbar. In the second navbar is where the button for the marine forecasts, water temperatures and our chat room"Fish Chat"! I will be adding a feature that will allow members to view who is in the chat room without going in it.

Let me know if anyone has any issues with any of the buttons.

I have installed Fish Chat(Flash Chat) The link to get to Fish Chat is in the upper tool bar. Click on "Fish Chat" to get to the chat room. I have also added the who is in the chat room feature. It is near the bottom of the forums.

Would everyone like to start meeting there on a weekly basis? How does 8:00 pm Wednesday nights work for everyone?

Did someone say deer hunting? Thats my second favorite thing to do next to fishing. I am suuprised more people do not keep their boats out. I use to have my bass boat out till first ice. Then again...an out board is easy to winterize.

Thats a really good tip on adding the glo stick to the planer board. How do you attach it to the board?

What are the specific colors of lead core? Is there a standard "color code" between manufacturers?

From what I am gathering, the extra riggers come in handy when you are in close poximity of other boats. You can effectivy fish as much or more water with a good spread of lead core, wire and dipsey's.

Anglers have caught brown trout on minnows in open-water off the piers. Some are spearing northern pike inside the pier. Most of the ice shanties out by Jerry’s Marina have been pulled to shore due to poor ice conditions. Walleye fishing was fair in 15 to 20 feet of water, BUT ICE CONDITIONS ARE POOR…BE CAREFUL!

The entire Bay has either very poor ice conditions or no ice at all. The ice blew out at Palmer Road last Friday. Anglers are encouraged to wait for the next cold snap, or fish from a boat or shore. Those wading are casting jigs and minnows near the Hot Ponds for walleye, pike, catfish and carp.

Has open-water, and no ice. Anglers are fishing from boats and off the piers. Yellow perch were caught off Luna Pier. Bluegills can be found in and around the marinas. Try fishing at Metro Park Marina with a jig and minnow, or a teardrop with a wax worm.

I managed to get a sitter. I will be there around 5:30. Who should I look for?

Is this a weekly/monthly thing? Its hard for me to get away on short notice, but if I had some advanced notice so I could arrange a sitter. I would sneak down for a barley pop or two.

Whats going on at Lunkers? Do I need to print up some fliers to hand out there

We have 3 moderators on board from Michigan. I would like to have a moderator that lives in the U.P. and fishes Lake Superior, and one that lives on the East side of the state and fishes Lake Huron. I am also looking for mods from the Great Lakes surrounding states and Ontario. This will give us a hand in each of the Great Lake states and Ontario.

I have added a Tournaments section to the forums. Know of a tournament that our members might be interested in? Post it in the Tournament section. If you are a club and have a weekly or monthly tournament and would like it pinned to the top, let one of the mods or myself know, and we will pin it.

I made a modification to the navbar. If you are in the forums, there is a "Gallery" button in the navbar. If you click on this, it will take you to the Photo Gallery. If you are in the Photo Gallery, the "Gallery" button is replaced with a "Forums" button. This will take you to the forums. This saves everyone from having to go back to the home page to go from one to the other.
