Set line at 80 foot at 7:00 am. Lake a bit rough 1 to 3s. Had just got 6 lines in and had a screamer on half core. This fish is big after a 45 min battle we netted the biggest fish never for us. It was 40" long and weight on small scale had in truck wow 20#. I bought my small cooler and it would not fit in it. Now what tied it to side of boat with a rope. This fish hit in 82 foot of water. Had anther 8# king on wire 180 back on green flasher and fly. Than we went in to get some minnows to try perch fishing. They where out of minnows at tackle haven. So put boat on trailer and went got minnows in st joe . Back on water at 11:00am with food and bev. went south 4mile and started looking for perch. Ended the day with 83 not bad perch seem to shut off around 5:30. Alot of small ones.

Could anybody tell me how the fishing has been this week out of St.Joe? What they are hitting and depth. Plan on setting line 4am or before. Has anybody fished all night this year? Will it be worth the time to go at 1am?

Last batch I somked I added hot sause to the brine and was very happy with the resaults.

The junk is cleaned up but the water level is low. 3 and 4 feet just outside landing. Be careful saw a few logs in the river.

Could anybody tell me how the landing is in Benton Harbor? Are the docks in and if they are clear of debris? How is the water Depth? Thanks Todd
