  1. Looking for a source that designs, manufactures a collasible [folding] fishing cart... **Designed to hold 1 large cooler; 1 medium/larger tackle box; bait bucket [cooler]; 4-6 rod/reel [secure] holders; and 2 director [long-legged] folding chairs [maybe even an umbrella]. Great idea for the disabled [crippled with various forms of arthritis]. fishermen with heart problems, and elderly allowing them to venture out onto the docks, piers, and beaches, with full gear. I've seen a few ads regarding this issue some don't look very durable; yet, well thought through design [e.g. : beachstuf.com]. Companies that make folding or collapsible hand carts [e.g. : Wesco, and Safco] design their carts to hold 110 - 250 lbs. have the kind of durability needed but, lack the means to carry the fore-mention items **. Appreciate any feed-back on where I'd be able to find one!!

  3. Just setting up to announce the local Big Boyz Fishing Tournament held in Wheatley, July 29, 30 & August 5, 6. I know they're catching salmon, rainbows and walleyes right now.
  4. As I've stated before I got back into fishing May, 2005 after 40 some years! I've always heard about the "perch run" that the Wheatley Boys enjoy off the dock but up until now never could imagine what anyone was talking about......... Well, WHOOOOOOOA! Since, Thursday, June 22nd. which was an awesome experience in itself [75 perch and nothing under 10 inches, was a "keeper", that day.] I pulled mostly 11 - 13 inchers........ total pounds of fillets was over 14 lbs. Today, me and my girlfriend caught 27 within an hour... to some this may be no biggie... yesterday we were catching perch on anything.... worms, and dried salted minnows. Which to me is perfect timing since next weekend [July 8th.] is the "Kids, Kops and Canadian Tire Fishing Derby" at the Wheatley Harbor....Wayne Izumi is scheduled to participate at the Kid's Derby... starting at 7 a.m. If you've got kids. grandkids, or nieghbor kids [there's no such thing as a bad kid!!!]; or, steal a kid [LOL!]..... do them a favor bring them on out...... bait, rods and, a good time is provided...... you'll end up doing yourself a favor watching the look on their face pulling their first fish... Remember, this old saying: " If you give a man a fish, he will have a single meal. If you teach him how to fish, he will eat all his life ".. Bring a child, teach a child and we will have saved our fishing future! See you July 8th., 2006 at Wheatley Harbor............ call 519-825-7560 [Last Chance Tackle], if you need directions.
  5. Appreciate this opportunity to join a fishing forum with so many people that think "fish"!! Haven't fished in 40 some years and got my line wet last season. Definitely, a "newbie". I can see there's alot of great tips available here... I'm just as hungry to learn as I am to catch my first trophy 'eye! Thank you for your generosity and willingness to share your stories and tips. Hope to have a few of my own very soon.
