I have a Lowrance HDS5, we have been catching fish consitantly out of GH but cant seem to mark anything but, what look to me like schools of bait. Is this a common situation? My graph seems to be woking fine, any input would be great. Thanks.

Ok,first atempt posting a mesage. I have glened alot of good info in the last 3 or so months. My wife and I purchased a 175 alumacraft nav. spring of 08 I have sence been bit by the bug, have allways injoyed fishing but never had a boat of my own. The last 3 seasons have brought great pleasure and adventure on the water, with alot of reading,asking and a great deal of info from this site i have gone from alot of sunky coolers to cositantly catching fish out of my home port of Grand Haven. So thanks a bunch for those willing to share.
