  1. Hey fellas, I'm heading to whitehall this weekend to take my bro'n'law on the big pond. I've only done this about half a dozen times and wanted to see about some advice before I go. i'm driving a deepV, not too short, and handles a pretty good wave. Anyway, check my plan. I can run 4 lines, one off each ball, and two stacked. All I have are about a dozen assorted spoons and three different JPlugs. I will probably run 2 plugs and 2 spoons. I'll use GPS for my speed. Questions: How fast? How deep? Where? (like... lat. and long.) haha color? When? (can't get out til high noon unfortunately) Thanks, and "I'll use a cross bow when I can no longer physically pull my long bow"
  2. Well, I’m planning on heading over to the Sag. Bay (Linwood) for the first time ever this weekend. If any of you Bay fisherman have any advice/ideas/suggestions/techniques I would greatly appreciate it. Some specific questions I have are, 1. What effect will all this rain we’re having this week have on the fishery by Sat/Sun? 2. What about my technique? I’m thinking Husky jerks, Long A’s etc. 15 FOW, in the day to dusk. Then switching to super slow crawler harness at night in shallower water. 3. Do I need to travel far from Linwood to find fish? Or would I be better launching somewhere else? 4. Can someone recommend a decent/cheap motel? I know, I know, a lot of questions right? I have more but will stop short of asking for GPS coordinates. Hopefully the wind cooperates and If I don’t find’em this time, I can always return right. Peace, Tony
  3. Hello everyone, I came across this forum while looking for some info on Saginaw Bay. It looks like a pretty cool thing and I’m glad to join. I mostly fish inland lakes and reservoirs with my sons, targeting whatever will bite, Bluegils, perch, eyes…..Yum…., or I do a little Salmon fishing on Lake Mi. being that I live closer to the West Coast. I also really enjoy standing in a river, going after tasty little trouts. It turns out that I’m only two hours from the bay so I figured I’d try my luck there for a change. Maybe discover a new walleye haunt. I’ve heard the waves can push you off the bay quite often and maybe that’s been my main reason for neglecting to fish it in the past. I have a 17’ Starcraft superfisherman that’s pretty deep and takes the waves on lake Mich. Just fine. But it is more often rollers than chop. It’s got a 75 horse OB and a little 4 stroke, long shaft kicker with a homemade steering hookup and rheostat throttle for trolling quiet. Anyway, I loaded a couple pics and personal info and will post my specific questions on Sag. Bay separately. Peace, Tony
