  1. Fish getting bigger- By the time we got home, it already grew, and by the time he told his dad, it grew again and by the time he told his brother, wow, you should have seen it! He will remember it for a long time.
  2. Had Good Friday OFF, so took the grandson fishing. We had 2 hits, with only one hookup. He got it up to the boat and the line broke:confused: Tryed to put that in words that would not bother him, but you know how it is for a 10 year old. The water temp. was 47/49 deg. We did see a couple of fish caught. Marked a few fish in 20/25 ft. Their will be another day. Tight lines.
  3. Went fishing yesterday at Saugatuck. Fished 4 hrs., then got blew off. 2-4 footers in a 14 ft. boat is not fun. Had 1 hit, got the skunk out of the box. A nice 5 lb. brown. There were only 5 other boats and 5 guys on the south pier. We never saw another fish caught. The temp. in the lake was 41-42 deg. Marked some fish, but not much happening. Maybe this weekend things will change. The fish came on a #11-orange rapala. Again, it's nice to have a jerk on the other end of the line.
  4. Hi Everyone, My name is Larry Willett. I have been viewing the GLF sight for awhile and decided to join. My home port is Grand Haven, Mi., but I sometimes fish down to Saugatuck, Mi. I have been fishing the great lakes for about 5 years and learn something new each time we head out. The first thing I learned about fishing is you need to be smarter than the fish! The name of my boat is TEAM IMAGINATION ( 26' Chris Craft ). Usually hang on channel 68 to see how the fish are biting. Most of the time, I'm a weekend worrier. Hopefully, that will change SOON!! Remember, It's nice to have a jerk on the other end of the line. GLF, keep up the good work!
