  1. Its been pretty quiet on here lately.

I haven’t seen much action of posts on here and wondered if there were other forums that individuals used?

I haven’t caught hardly anything this year so haven’t posted myself. Trying to find the silver fish. Thanks for any info.

  2. That os so cool!!! Congrats and thank you for it's safe return back into the lake.

A couple of weeks ago I was salmon fishing out of Port Sheldon in 140' of water when I hooked this Fish on a three color lead core ,I did not weigh or measure but I am sure it was over four feet long we released it right after we landed it, the DNR said it was very unusual to be up that close to the surface as they spend most of their time on the bottom !

  3. Nice!!!!

Lots of bait in the channel on our way out. We worked 45 to 150 fow. Best water was 90 to 110. 1 coho, 1 small laker, 3 kings. Biggest was 12 pounds.

100 Cu took 4 hits(moonshine RB dancying anchovy and an orange RV spoon), rigger took 1 hit down 60 on a white paddle amd blueish fly, 250 Cu NBK spoon took 2 hits. Wire diver out 106 down 60 took 1 NBK spoon. Didn't have any meat abord to run.

It was surprisingly cold out there with the wind hitting us. Water was in the process of flipping while we were out there. Surface temps started around 52 and ended in the 50s for the same water later in the AM.20190622_061449.thumb.jpeg.9560827834aa3487451e73c9ed54d57f.jpeg20190622_060806.thumb.jpeg.ba61023dcedff5ac00620fbada69ed3a.jpeg20190622_095441.thumb.jpeg.37c7074838ba68f5ffd5d06b31a6e2d4.jpeg

  4. Went out Saturday afternoon and water was beautiful. Started at 245ft straight out channel and worked back in. Marked good fish at 240ft at 70ft down no takers. Trolled east all the way into 60ft and was skunked for the evening. Had an aray of colors of spoons, flys, and j-plugs but no takers. I'm afraid I'm done unless someone post there hitting again. 5. The disposal at the fish cleaning station is now practically useless for cleaning salmon, last few years no carcasses and now no skins, etc.
It’s only good for perch n pan fish.
A city worker that does a great job cleaning docks, cleaning station etc said the only way to get improvements is to contact the city.
They have a fourth new skid pier allocated in 2018/19 budget.
I sent an email to the city manager ,  Harbormaster/asst city manager, city engr, rec dept and the city council.
Instead of replacing a skid pier I would like to see them replace the fish cleaning disposal with a new larger one. The existing skids are in pretty good shape and they could wait a few more years for replacement. They replaced 3 last year.
    Also, two very inexpensive upgrades:
    1. For you lazy guys that use electric knives, lol, hang 4 GFCI 120vac outlets from the ceiling (like St Joe city launch fish cleaning station).
    2. Change incandescent light with a new LED light fixture.
I would encourage fisherman/rec users to also send letters, emails or call the city to express your concerns.
They gave a great online directory that lists each person’s name, phone number and email address.
    Thanks
    Thanks Dan great idea!!!!
