I'm up in Petoskey and cannot believe the low percentages of fish being caught. Anyone else having the same issue? Many people putting in countless hours and nothing. There will be 20+ people casting all over the marina and there will be days without anyone having anything on

I second that glow with orange spots. That is a killer for lakers

For steelhead the old timers always told me "throw any color for steelhead as look as its Orange" I thought that was pretty funny and it's paid off very well over the years. Spinners with orange bodies for them

Yeah usually silver with anything seems to work. Gold will be hot some days too

Yeah anything silver. They can be very finicky on speed sometimes...that'll be the difference of a 2 fish day or a 10 fish day

Middle of the day when the water is the warmest and second best would be the evening is say. I have caught them at night but where I fish it's dangerous walking when you can't see so not worth it for fish out of season. Try anything silver really

Heck yeah! It's been obnoxious. Just find piers with rocks and you should be golden. Casting for them has been my favorite fishing and that's over salmon fishing...never though I'd say it

Bloody nose should work. Heck yeah I think I caught 86 lakers last fall in Lake Michigan from the piers. Crazy crazy numbers

Of course! The wonderbread 3/4 ounce has been as consistent as possible for me. 5/8 size hasn't done anything. The teardrop shape is the way to go from shore

Wonderbread

Heck yeah! As good out in the boat as from shore

They are very very good, great results for any kind of trout night or day

I've heard off the cheboygan river pier by the start of the lake. It's a game of trying to break 100 fish landed in a fall in Lake Michigan...crazy fun

Yeah all the fish I've caught this year in the boat have been real healthy. No shortage of bait that I've seen
