If my buddy isn't feeding me a line of S*** they got their fish off his gps coordinates. Straight out from duck lk. Said he wished they fished the offshore challenge. Glad to see the muskegon guys get it done.

How old is the 9v battery in the probe? Even with alkalines I usually had to replace it every 2-3 days of use. When it gets low you get intermittent/weird readings.
I tried new ones. I went through a whole pack thinking that that could be it, but did the same thing. So unless each battery was bad im thinking thats not it.

Got it before we started fishing this year, worked the first few trips and now i either get the dashed lines, or exagerated data. for example it said i was in 17* water the other day, and then it jumped to 97*. I've noticed out of the water, if i wipe the transducer with a rag, i get a realistic reading from the probe, but then seconds later its gone. Any ideas on what to do?

Not sure on the name. It was one of the newer standard size RV spoons. It had 5-6 black dots with a blueish hue. I did charge it up before throwing it over the first time. But it caught fish mostly early in the trip. It was overcast when we started out. When the sun came out things slowed. Hope this helps. BTW none of the standard body baits took hits, which was odd to me. Pure spoon bite and only 1 on a long line. 5 of 6 hits within 40 feet of the boat in 30-35 fow.
Thanks for the report. I'm thinkin about trying out deeper like you did instead of in close. Were the fish coming on rigger and divers then?

fish the mud, it will be full of bait, and you should be able to put a good box together there
