Wow, sounds romantic............
Now, if I can only convince MY wife.......
Any more tips on that Mrs. Sixshooter??
Pack a picnic, bring some wine.....and don't tell her about the fishing poles...hehe

AND A KNOW IT ALL WIFE
Did you have a question Jim?
-
For further trips with your girlfriend.....there is nothing better than fishing at night. Watch the sunset....smoke a bunch of fish....then seeing the moon cascading over the lake.
-
We have Kitty Meow....my niece named her because that is what she could say at the time.
-
What kind of pet do you have? What's the name? And how did you get the name?
-
Here's a few articles I've found regarding this topic.....

and a question answered from Michigan DNR

We have tried it, but it's very hard to keep track of it (especially with the 2 boats, etc.) I've even made a laminated page to tally the fish on the boat.
-
Doesn't Bev perform that function?
Now how can I be setting lines, driving the boat, and be a trousertrouttracker at the same time?
-
Great article Jim, I didn't know you were a writer! Thanks for sharing!
He just has a good proof reader!! Hehe

For all those soaring gas prices, check out the cheapest/most expensive in your area

Boy, I think Jim wouldn't have minded getting married on the water. I thought getting a pic on the boat launch on our wedding day was good enough!
-
We have 2 boats, and between towing and trolling, it's at least $90-$100 per trip per boat.....

I'd have to agree with you. I don't care for smoking, I think it stinks. I wish that the "no smoking in inclosed public places ban" would reach Michigan. This is in affect in California and New York. What a difference it makes to be able to get a drink and not smell like an ashtray for doing it.

Believe it or not, our last trip out of St. Joe, the Coho's seemed to like purple spoons for us. But again it was all in tight to shore.

Per fillet (about 4-6 oz)
1 Tbs. Mayo (or sour cream)
1 tsp. Chipotle seasoning
1 tsp. Franks (or tobasco)
1 tsp. italian seasoning
splash of lime juice
Put some on the top of your fillet to grill (or bake) then add to taste after fish is cooked.

According to the DNR Michigan Fishing Guide, there is no limit changes this year, and it says in the book that the rules will be in place for the next fishing season as well (Till March 2008). The only change was on Lake Trout sizes (which opens May 1- Sept. 30):
Read the guide to make sure there is no confussion on size limits.

I think the only charter I would want to go on is an ocean charter.

Hopefully, when Jim buys me my new boat (25' Sportcraft.....someday) I would love to call it Six Cents.
-
But I am the BOSS cause Val said I was.
I think.
OOPS gotta go Val is calling my name.
Nite everybody.
That's the truth..hehe

If anyone cares to show my husband how to deer hunt (ok he knows, just not professive about it)....I would LOVE some venison!
-
I too like Jim's favorite spot, but I must say I like Manistee too. Can't wait till Labor Day Weekend!!!!

I had an 18 lb 8 oz. King out of Montague.

A couple hours is great. I have used the pineapple too. A lot of times I marinate overnite, so the fillets are saturated.
