We went out of Oscoda on Monday morning. Went 4 for 5 on lakers. We started at 40ft of water and worked out to 70ft. All the lakers came in about 65ft. Try spin-n-glo with a flasher or cowbells. Talk to a charter captain who was fishing in 80ft to 90ft. They want 10 for 11 with 1 king.

Fished Oscoda and Tawas the last few days. We had a nice fish on outside of the mouth in Oscoda, but it broke our line. The fish were staging just out side of the river. We graphed alot of bait fish, I think they were smelt. Tawas was really slow. Not 1 hit. The river in Tawas was really low, about 2 feet. We really didn't see alot of fish on the graph. Water temp at both ports were 36-38 deg's.

We were in oscoda over the weekend. Talked to a some guys that were picking up a few steelhead. I was told that the walleye were stacked up out in front of the river in 20-30 ft of water. There were a few boats out front, but no report on them. Might take the the 20 footer and try our luck this weekend. I'll let you know.

Allan, Glad to see you here. The fishing out of Oscoda the last few years for us has been pretty good. Not many kings, but the lakers were running bigger. Lots of steelhead and pinks. We were getting 1 or 2 walleye just about every time we went out. I even got walleye on the riggers 105' down on spoons.

We turned in 4 lakers in the past from Oscoda. All the lakers were planted on the west side of lake Michigan. Haven't seen any salmon or steelhead yet with the chip.

I'm a newbi here. From what I read, it looks like a great place to spend some time while I'm sitting around in places far from michigan. I fish out of Oscoda and look forward to hearing what going on while I'm away.
