Good afternoon. Question for those of you that enjoy fishing solo: What is your best practice for netting a feisty salmon when you're by yourself? Long rod +long leaders + long landing net + feisty fish = Early Release?

Hello, and happy spring! My name is Brian, aka "biggerfish". I grew up in Chicago, but not once fished Lake Michigan for salmon - didn't even know it was a thing back then... Fast forward 30+ years...I've lived in Washington State for 26 years, and have been fishing salmon (and other species) hardcore for 20 of them. Here's a few photos of my ride up here on Orcas Island. Hoping to learn some new tricks from you old dogs...-
