Shoot…striking out; has anyone tried but not been successful?

Has anyone historically caught Whitefish in Holland on the west side? With the DNR’s new regulations this November, I’d prefer to keep my gear as is. What parts of the pier/harbor have been successful for consistent Whitefish landing? I normally fish Grand Haven but would love to fish closer to home if anyone has ever had success fishing out of Holland in the late months of the year. Would love any advice!
