kicker motor

Recommended Posts

A friends boat (21 ft FG) with a 9.9 2 stroke would use about 2-2.5 gallons for about 4 hrs of trolling. We never ran the 3 gallon tank completely out. That was at Walleye speeds. Fire up the 200 2 stroke on the same boat and a way different story.:) With the four stroke 15 you will get similar results.

I'm running a 9.9 Johnson four stroke on my 21' fiberglass and the gas consumption is amazing. Amazing in a good way! Trolling at speeds up to 3.0 in heavy chop and wind, I'm still using less than a gallon an hour. (I really am being consevative here - I think its closer to 1/2 to 3/4 gph) I wish I had switched to a kicker a looong time ago. I was using upwards of 3 gallons per hour when I was using a trolling plate on my I/O.
