Port Sheldon Am, 5-9-25

Fished 10am-12, Shakedown run for the Littleboat today. Picked up a 5-6# king off the bubbler. It was cold out there. A last minute decision to even go. Glad I did. Littleboat, 16-1/2 footer ran well. Waves were 0-1, 1-2 & 2-3'.

Nice. We were in Whitehall from Sun up til noon. We fished 30-90 spending most of our time in 55. Nothing caught and very little was marked. The warm water must be coming up soon.

Nice shakedown Little Boat!

I did the same solo out of Holland today, 7-11 am.

2-3 all small released coho.

1. Not sure what depth. Probably around 100 FOW, rigger down 35 ft. Was hooked up when I pulled in the line to change lures. STD Orange crush. Small coho.

2. Drive by. High dipsy back 75 ft. MS Mag Blue Jeans. 27 fow in the mud at harbor mouth.

3. 3 lb Coho, same dipsy in the mud again.

That looks like what I was catching before I put my boat away last year. I'm hoping they are part of alot of growing fish for this year.

How deep you thinking? I'm considering heading out from Holland and running down to Saugatuck tomorrow morning. I was thinking might still be fish in close but maybe I'm late?

There's usually a good batch of fish this time of year between 120-240 (not the whole range but some groups of fish between there).  Just need to find them.  But there could also be good numbers in close to Saugatuck.  The fish move a lot day to day.

Glad the equipment ran without a hitch Little Boat and Sea Foam.  I wet the bottom of Fin Warrior over two weeks ago but have not gotten the shake down cruise in yet due to many things.  With luck it can happen near the end of the coming week.
