I know they have been around for a while so I’m looking for pro/cons on this application, other than upgrading my rods. Do they really accomplish the 2 to 1 dive ratio? Steelhead#1 Posted April 28, 2016 Share Posted April 28, 2016 I have never fished slide divers w/o the mag ring & weight. The 2 to 1 ratio is pretty accurate. You can fish the bottom in some deep water. The only thing I don't like about the slide divers is the inability to take them off the rod during travel.
