Fishrmac
Second fish looks to be a small king with the forked tail. Either way looks like a fun afternoon.I was on Muskegon lake trolling pike and walleye until 8:00pm and it was beautiful after dark as the breeze died down

I was there last Tuesday late afternoon , but the lake was pretty warm yet. Anxious to stock up on my walleye supply before it turns to ice and then do some ice fishing. The gums on the little fish were pretty white, but the tail wasn't quite as square as the typical SH.I'll probably keep hitting the big lake as long as the weather and docks permit, but in the less then better days, I'll be heading for muskegon in the evenings. Fishrmac
Never checked temp. Just sounded like fun to go and try. I've never fall fished before.

Me too. 1st time on muskegon since we moved here in February. But I did find 3 small boats, remains of a possible schr, wood logs and old dockage superstructure

littleboat
It's a humminbird 998, but all the manufacturers have it with various modules or built into the unit. Before I started fishing, diving and finding shipwrecks was my hobby/passion. I found several major shipwrecks previously undiscovered in the great lakes, from schooners with their masts still standing to old steamers. They ran from 120 ft long to 240 ft. It was fun.
