A big thanks to Gregg @ BloodRun Tackle for helping out our group. it looks like 14+ boats signed up at this time. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

that great -

If you do fish this weekend please make sure to take the time to thank BloodRun for the continued support of the WMFL and post a report here on GLF.

I will also be taking pictures of each boats fish and crew, so wear your happy face.

Well, pretty bummed...not only will my boat not be ready Saturday morning, but I won't be on board Motion Show as crew either. Work is nuts, home is nuts, and I signed up to coach Little League...much bigger commitment than I thought...1 practice and 2 games a week through mid June, including Saturday mornings. :(

Its becoming pretty fun though working with the kids and seeing them picking it up; so am gonna see this through and join you guys later this summer. In the meantime, hope to have the boat out with some improvements in the next weekend or two.

Least I can do is fish Friday evenings and Sundays to help Motion Show put the smack down on Killin It! ;) Gotta be ready for Holland Steelheaders in mid May (might actaully make that one) and Kids N Kings at end of June as well.

We want to wish everyone great success this weekend, weather looks like it should be okay. If you have not fished out of Holland/Saugatuck so far this year, things should be pretty straight forward for this weekends event.

Brown trout are loaded on the beach from 6-15 feet of water from Port Sheldon right down south of Saugatuck. Flat line J-9 jointed rapalas (clown has been good) and short (30') coppers with mini silver streaks in gold/chartreuse/orange have been hot. You will get the occasional coho and stray king in there as well..maybe a steelhead too.

If you slide out to 40-65 foot there are plenty of lake trout. Not sure what the rules are on trout, but if you put out a 200' 32lb copper with a magnum lemonberry Silver Streak you will have all the lake trout you can handle. There may also be some stray kings cruising out in this depth as well.

If anyone is struggling for some reason on Saturday, give us a call and we can help you out at 616-439-0438. We will be out down near Saugatuck.

Good luck!

- Team Blood Run

Dave,

add 2 more boats that don't get here on GLF very often. both are weather dependent.

Undertow

Little Bobber

everyone else, remember a few things:

Check back here on the site Friday night after 9pm or early Saturday morning, if the weather is bad.

• We will fish predicted seas of 1-3' or less. (or game day call)

• If small craft advisories are in effect we, will not fish.

Have your Radio on 72 during the event - I will do a roll call around 7am.

Wow, let hope for good weather, I have been either fishing or holding the WMFL events for the past 5 years, 21 boats in is the most I recall ever seeing on the signup list.

let's keep this number all summer long.
