Millions of microbeads from soap have contaminated the Great Lakes

On top of invading Asian carp and algae blooms, the Great Lakes are being polluted with tiny plastic polyethylene beads that appear in soap, body washes and toothpastes.

More...

I dont like the thought of anything polluting our great lakes, but come on. Whos funding the study for microbead contamination? There's bigger threats to the overall health of the lakes like sewage spills, dumping coal dust, and asian carp.
