Port sheldon dnr launch

Recommended Posts

I don't have any problems with my 22' sea nymph great lakes special (similar to islander)

just stay to the center when going out/coming in until you get to the main body of pigeon lake, the edges are very shallow.

we will be out saturday evening, expect the launch to be very busy, not as much pleasure boaters though, so it usually go's pretty smooth.

Thats correct its about 3 feet at launch however you need to watch youre graph, there is a narrow channel more towards the south side of pigeon lake that you need to stay in or else youll beach youre boat if you stay towards the power plant side.it gets deeper about half way out of lake so go slowwww till than.good luck fishing ill be heading out saturday night and sunday moring so post how you did.

I've been launching my 25' four wins vista there the last two weekends. She's deep, draws probably 2-21/2'. Until I get near the big boats on the south side of the channel I leave it trimmed up 1/2 way and take it slow. Once you get near the houses and larger boats it drops off to 15-20', then you're clear all the way out. Just stay in the middle, you'll be fine.
