Decided to go fishing tonight because the weather and waves looked too good not to. About once a season, I'll take an evening weekday trip if I don't have to work the next morning. Usually I catch one or none and swear off evening trips for another year.

Tonight seemed typical. Left the dock at 5:15 and had first hit while setting lines in 130 fow. Took a nice coho 70 down on a rigger with DW Alygator at 6:15. It seemed like I was in for a typical evening trip until about 9 PM when both dipsey's went. One with blue/chrome spindoctor and blue Big Weenie fly back 180 feet and the other was crush UV spindoctor with Big Weenie Last Brunch fly back 150 feet. Both came in 130 fow.

Actually all the fish came in 130 fow. Dipsey fish weighed 24 and 21 lbs. In the ensuing chaos of a double with those fish and only 2 people on board, we failed to notice a board hit on 300 copper until pulling lines. Copper had a blue spatterback plug on it that took an 11 lb king.

Best evening ever, so might just have to go back out Tuesday night.
