Yeck torpedo weights

Hey guys just wanted your opinion on the Yeck torpedo downrigger weights. Anybody use em? Like em? Looking at adding a fish hawk/depth raider this winter and thought a torpedo weight would be better for reducing blowback on the probe. I use the traditional cannonballs now. I was checking out the Yecks and saw the spot to attatch the rigger cable is in the nose instead of the top, is there a advantage to that? Any and all opinions welcome!

I used something similar a long time ago. The heaviest that Yeck makes in that style is 10#. If your down rigger can handle something heavier, I'd go that way. At the very least I go 2# heavier on my probe rigger than the others. This keeps the blow-back about the same as the others.

If you look close at that weight it looks like theres a hole in the fin to attach your release to I think that weight hangs down with the fin to keep it from spinning. I have seen other weights like that and thats the way they worked.
