flywasher Posted October 23, 2012 Share Posted October 23, 2012 I have a chance to buy a 2007 boston whaler "305 conquest" with twin 275 verados. My question is can anyone tell me if i can troll with these engines for salmon and trout down to 1.6-2.6mph? I've heard differing opinions about outboards not being able to troll that slow. I called him and he said he can get down to 1.8 without bags.He said he can troll 5 hrs pull rods and hammer down and not a isssue.If you want his number give me a shout. Another charter captain has fished with him in the past. I will try to get some contact info for you and maybe you can talk with him directly.
