scubastew Posted March 15, 2012 Share Posted March 15, 2012 The fishing in Little Traverse Bay in July/August can be hit or miss. The salmon usually do not start arriving in the bay till about mid July or even a few weeks later. Usually warm water collects in the bay and the fish are usually deeper. The majority of the salmon that do make it up to the bay are often 4 year olds. When the fish are located using the proper techniques be prepared to catch some big ones.
