tltorrice Posted March 10, 2012 Share Posted March 10, 2012 I assume you are talking about wire for wire Dipsey Diver rods. I don't use any backing. I just filled the spool with 1000 yards of wire. It works good and there is no backing to worry about rotting or replacing. When the wire gets kinked up I just cut some back and I am ready to go.
