To much of a good thing?

Recommended Posts

It seems that nearly every time out we consistantly catch fish on for the most part one bait, double trouble. Trying to contemplate the beginning spread for the Saturday AM trip, and right now, fishing 9 rods, have 3 Double Trouble on. One on a rigger, a 150ft of copper, and another on a dipsy. Whats your opinions on this? Would it better my odds to run other baits that haven't got the same water time to throw more of a variety out, or would you load up on the tried and true? Fishing out of Muskegon by the way.

If they r working load em up. If adding too many turns them off then u might have to cut back. Sometimes u have to look at ur whole spread. Sometimes the whole spread brings them in even if they r not all getting hit. If that makes sense. Too much of all glow can be overwhelming i think. GL

jake,

read my posts from the 23-30th out of ludington if you have or can get the big weenie rubber poofster i was running do it it has been very good. run it 225 back on a high braid mag diver on a 3 setting. i also always compliment it with a blue bubble spin dr. on the low diver about 90 back on a 1 setting smaller diver( i think a #1)
